We offer secondary lining systems for composite and metallic storage vessels. These are single or double skin:- our systems are hand installed and tested at key stages to ensure long term reliability. Theses can be installed as part of a larger improvement project or as a distinct upgrade.
After appropriate chamber work, we complete a full (man-entry) clean, degas and inspection of the tank. The tank is then grit blasted to give an optimal surface for the adhesion of the lining system. A hand-laid composite primary layer is applied after repairs and reinforcing to heavily pitted areas.
A system of chemically resistant topcoats is then applied leaving a fuel tank lining that will provide many years of trouble free service.
The initial stages are as per the single skin lining but adds a vacuum monitorable interstitial space to existing single skin or compromised double skin vessel.
The interstitial gap is formed between two independent layers of composite material under vacuum and a connection is formed in the chamber to connect back to the monitoring panel for the fuel tank lining system.
The double skin fuel tank lining system offers full monitoring, giving enhanced environmental protection. The monitoring panel offers a local alarm and can also be linked to an external gauge or other device for alerting wet stock providers remotely.
